Just before midnight on August 18, 2023, the Tuckertown Fire Department received a dispatch directing us to respond to a fire on Block Island. Engine 21 responded to to Point Judith, where the crew was was transported to the scene by the US Coast Guard. Ensuring that we had the necessary equipment and support, Engine 21 itself was later ferried over to Block Island by the Block Island Ferry. Upon arrival, our team set up a drafting location to ensure a consistent water supply for Block Island’s Engine 1.
